Playball finished for the year. We got a certificate and a candy cane today. I have really enjoyed Playball. Thank you Coach Sarah & Scott.

Amal's Birthday

Yesterday I went to my friend Amal's birthday party at the Mt Albert Wave Pools. First I changed. Next I hopped int the pool. Then I heard a noise - then I realized that noise was to tell us that the waves were coming. Then before my eyes I saw the waves. I quickly hopped into the pool with no waves. The waves even came on the pathway. Then Neil came into the pool with no waves and we played together and finally changed out of our swimming costumes. I do not like the waves but did have fun in the pool with no waves.Then we ate the pokemon cake, but before the cake I ate 2 pieces of cheese pizza and some chips. I also had a vanilla ice cream after the cake. Amal had an awesome time. My friends Neil, Eeshan, Kishan, Soham and Shanaya were all there. I said bye and got my goodie bag and went home.

I lived

We are learning new songs at songs and I would like to share these because I love them.

When I got home I shared these with my Mum and together we sang all the songs.

Dinosaurs in the Garden

Today I went with my cousins to "Dinosaurs in the Garden" at Auckland Botanic Gardens. I had lots of fun but am really glad that the Dinosaurs are extinct as they were really big and scary. We ended up at the 1:30pm Dinosaur encounter where there were some pretend Dinosaurs walking around but they looked very real.

My Gaint Pumpkin Seed Has Sprouted

Yesterday my giant pumpkin seed finally sprouted after almost 2 weeks!! I was so excited as I have been watering it everyday and hoping to see it sprout within days. Yes! I am well on my way to growing my first giant pumpkin.

Learning Systems

In this term - Term 4 of Year 1 at Primary School we have been learning about "Systems".

Three Kings Scarecrow Festival

Today I went to the Three Kings School Scarecrow Festival, this was my second time going. I went with my cousins (Aryan & Anya). There were a lots of awesome scarecrows - we sure could do with one for our garden because the birds keep eating my Mum's marigolds. There was also a lots of bargains to be had. I got a police car that I love and a kit for making different toys and charging with solar power - no batteries, just for $2. And I also got lots of books. I did get wet in the rain too :) I wonder why our school does not have a scarecrow festival that would be fun.

Stardome Observatory

This week our class went to Stardome Observatory for a visit. I have been pretty excited about this visit for weeks and the day did not disappoint. I got paired with my friend Amal and got to ride a double-decker bus. The best part was I got to sit on the top level going there and coming back. The observatory was also amazing. We learned about Matariki and the stars in the galaxy.

Today my cousins Aryan, Anya and I were dancing to these. So much fun.

Colouring time

My Mum bought a beautiful colouring book and I want to help her colour, but she will not let me because she thinks I scribble outside the lines and will mess up her book. 

So I showed her how beautifully I can colour by colouring in the bird and the buzzy bee below.

I have even drawn love hearts around buzzy bee :)

She let me help her colour in her new book with her.

Growing Giant Pumpkins

Last week I got a notice in my home pack.

Next I went with Mum to Auckland Landscape Supplies to pick up my giant pumpkin seed.

I was given a noodle box, some soil and my magic giant pumpkin seed.

I have planted my seed with the point facing up and given it some water and put it in a sunny spot.

CANNOT WAIT for it to GERMINATE :)

I love gardening with my Mum. I am excited to be planting my very own giant pumpkin seed and looking after it.

Athletics Day

We had athletics day today. I was so happy that my Mum came to watch me do my best. My house is Ruru (green). We did running, discus throwing, shot put throwing, long jump and finally sack racing. My favorite was long jump. My Mum took some photos of the day.
