Cross Country 2017

Today I had school cross country - good day for it too, sunny and slighty cloudy. We were all dressed in our house colours. I was wearing Green as I belong to Ruru (the best house). I have it a good try - I did not like the muddy fields we run through ....swish swish swish!

Simple Machine iMovie

Today I created a movie about simple machines on iMovie. I have included all the six simple machines we have been learning about this term - screw, lever, wheel & axle, pulley, wedge, gear, inclined plane.

So excited when I got Rosie Bear on Friday. This story is all about Rosie Bear's adventure with me.

Rosie Bear's Indian Adventure

On the weekend Rosie Bear got a taste of India. 

She decided to come with me to the garden and pluck 

a chili for my mum, she thought it would be fun to try a bit - 

how hot could it be? 

Well it was pretty hot.

She got dizzy, her mouth burned and her tongue was swollen.

She ran around the house screaming, 

she even wanted to jump into the fish tank to cool off.

I had to stop her and told her the Indian remedy. 

I gave her a piece of Dhoda barfi. 

She felt much better.

Rosie Bear laughed and said "What an Indian adventure it

has been Aaroosh!"

to fly away from danger.

His gorilla arms are humongous and hairy.

He has green eyes that look like a traffic light.

His feet are like a giants foot.

Great 2nd week at school

The highlight of my second week was getting an excellence badge for my publishing. I wrote all about me. It was all about me and my family.
I am enjoying doing Reading Eggs and Mathseeds with my Mum since school started. I have already earned 3 certificates.

Beginning of Year 2

Back to school last week after such a nice long break. I was feeling all relaxed and in no hurry to get to school.
This was my first summer holiday and I loved it. The highlights for me were - going swimming with mum, playing with my cousins very day and going toWhitianga (Coromandel Pennisula) for a few days. Enjoyed digging up the hot water beach and making a tub of relaxing in while it rained.

The first day was pretty good. My teacher is nice and had a "Welcome" certificate, book marker, twisty pencil and other reading aides all prepared for us for our first day. I loved the certificate and the pencil :)
